Wilcox Public Library
Did you know that reading to your child is one of the most powerful ways to boost his or her brain power? The simple and enjoyable act of sharing books helps your child learn pre-reading skills such as understanding the sounds letters make, developing a bigger vocabulary, and building background knowledge—all important skills that help prepare your child for learning to read and entering kindergarten.
Wilcox Public Library’s 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program is a fun, exciting, and free way to start your child on the path to success! Any child ages birth to five years can participate.

Spark a love of reading and learning at this storytime class for children and their caregivers. We’ll read picture books, sing interactive songs, and practice important pre-school skills, ending with a themed craft or playtime designed to work on fine motor skills.
These classes are designed with Every Child Ready to Read initiatives in mind. There will be two classes each week, but they will be the same. So if you can’t make it to one, join us for the other. These classes are generally recommended for preschool children ages 3 and up. For more information, please call or e-mail Barb at the library: 929-5639 or email@example.com
