Borrowing & Fees
How to Borrow From the Library
Your Wilcox Public Library account allows you to check out physical items from your library (like books, DVDs & Blu-Rays, and Audiobooks on CD) and electronic items from our Digital Library (like eBooks, Audiobooks, Magazines and streaming movies).

Borrowing from the Library
You may check out up to 20 items per library card at a time. To check out an item, take the item to your library’s Circulation Desk. If you need help finding an item on our shelves, don’t hesitate to ask one of our staff members for help!
You can browse items online and place a request for us to set it aside for you to pick up. To request an item from the online catalog, click “Place Request”. Our staff can also help you place a request by phone or in person.
Renewing Items
Run out of time with your checked out items? Not quite finished? Almost every item can be renewed twice if no one else is waiting for it. Here's how you renew:
-
In person - stop in during normal operating hours and we would be happy to help.
-
By phone - call (814) 929-5639 during normal operating hours.
Borrowing Services

We participate in a districtwide book sharing service between public libraries throughout the five counties in the Seneca District. If we do not have a book you are looking for, search the catalog to see if it is available from one of our partner libraries.
Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) provides access to materials belonging to other library systems shipped to your library for easy pick up and return. ILL may include fees. Ask the librarian for help in requesting items.
We offer a large collection of digital books, movies, and more. Some of these services have apps you can download and some are available directly from our website. You will use your library account information to borrow from these services.
Fees
We know life happens. That’s why we’ve made it easy to pay fees:
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, PayPal and Venmo
-
Online
-
In person at the library
Please note that although we have removed overdue fines, fees will still be assessed on lost or damaged items.
-
Items overdue for more than 30 days will be considered lost and a fee will be assessed. If the item is returned undamaged that fee will be forgiven, if the item is damaged or lost, payment will be expected for that fee before loaning privileges are reinstated.
-
Loaning privileges will be placed on hold for accounts with balances of $50 or more until all fees are paid.
But don't worry – we want to work with you and always love seeing you back at the Library.
